Ride4claire 2024 Update

As Claire turns five, it's incredible to reflect on how quickly time has passed. Kait and I are thrilled to share some wonderful news about her journey with Retinoblastoma. Claire’s treatment has been progressing exceptionally well, and we're nearing a significant milestone: transitioning from "Active" status to "Pre-Disposed" or "Survivor." This milestone marks a major victory for Claire and a moment that seemed a long ways away five years ago amid her diagnosis, not to mention the Pandemic that got thrown in there too. Our gratitude extends to Dr. Shah and the entire team at Boston’s Children Hospital and Jimmy Fund, who continues to provide outstanding care, monitoring her progress meticulously.

We’ve been fortunate to have immense support over these years, not only from the medical teams at Boston Children’s Hospital but also from our amazing circle of family and friends. Your support has been tremendous!

Let’s Dive Into Ride4Claire 2024!

This year marks the 5th anniversary of #Ride4Claire, and personally, I’m on the brink of hitting the 2,000-mile mark, with just 434 miles to go. Here’s a snapshot of our journey so far:

Ride4Claire by the numbers:

Total Distance - 1,566.37 miles

Total Elevation - 108,947 feet

Total Time - 80.3 hrs

Avg Speed - 18.9mph

Going Big in 2024 - The 24 in ’24 Challenge!

We’re upping the ante this year with our most ambitious challenge yet—24 hours of continuous riding. Crossing multiple states and pushing beyond 20,000 feet in elevation at speeds over 21 mph is one thing, but extending past the 12-hour mark into a full day’s ride is a first. In the spirit of doing things wholeheartedly, we're excited to undertake this test of endurance to honor all the support we've received.
